I am not quite sure, but it may have been last Christmas or even more recently. For some reason, I still enjoy handwriting letters and even some of my poems, stories, etc. I often send a short hand-written note with the birthday or anniversary cards which I send.

A full-fledged, multiple-page letter: 1999 or earlier.
A handwritten note welcoming a new neighbour: about a month ago.

like 5 years ago,but 100 e-mails can't compete with a letter,don't you agree?
E-mails are so emotionless, isn't it fun when you read a letter and you track down one's emotions judging by his/hers handwriting, the mistakes, the spaces ,trembling writing, tear spots on the paper...nothing can replace that... it's just like books vs. e-books
