Its not how much you spend....its the thought....I only spend about 20$ on him but we havent been datin that long.......It just depends on what you feel is appropriete.

You know, it kinda just depends on what they want, how flush I am (or not). Here's the thing....you can't be a big cheap-o. If he wants 3 things: a bike, a pen/pencil set, a steak dinner, figure out which one you can afford and give him the best of it THAT you can afford. I hate it when people say, "My girl wanted a big pair of diamond earrings so I bought her this pair with 50 pave' set diamonds in each earring" Translation: They LOOK like I spent a small fortune but I didn't. Conveyance: They look like crap and everyone knows you can get them on 60% off every other week at KMart for the princely sum of 39.99. Hear this: the girl would rather have her diamonds in one rock than split apart into 50. In this instance, a quarter carat would have done much better.....quality over quantity and qtr. carat earrings are not going to break anyone's bank.

depends on how serious the relationship is.. if its a good friend something nice, maybe a new cell phone or something like that
