Top Gun is by far the best because that made him look like a star someone to look forward in the years to come and oh boy hes hot right now

Does the film have to be good BECAUSE of him? Otherwise I would say Rain Man. One of the best movies ever.
My fav movie where he is the main character would have to be Top Gun I guess.

rain man not because of tom cruse either,dustin hoffman was excelant in the film.it takes serious acting skills to play autistic but tom only had to be his normal mood swinging self

Taps...for his early years....he was really young in that movie; but even then you can spot his ease of acting!! I love Magnolia and Rainman!!! I know Eyes Wide Shut really bombed; but he did a superb job in his role!!! You should watch him in this movie; if you haven't already!!!
