I used this site to find my mothers china
http://www.replacements.com
then go to china and search for your pattern..it takes a little bit of work but is quicker and more accurate than looking on ebay.
Good luck!

Taking it to an antiques store can be dodgy as they will often give it a lower price hoping ot buy it for themselves then sell it off. I would research online and in books specialising in the antiques area. Also search on sales websites like ebay to view the market as a whole. Perhaps somebody is selling your item

Search for the same stuff in Ebay and see what it is going for. Or take it to an antique store, and have them appraise it.

Try www.replacements.com. They have almost every kind of pattern available with prices that they are selling them at so that might be a good guestimate of their value.
