A few days ago I read Oasis, based on a magazine, but I like both. But I decided to ask, just to know what do you think. Thanks for the answers! Kisses! ^-^

I`m just asking for opinions Elly, but you have a point for it! ^-^ They based on interviews to young and not-too-young-people on England, and this are the scores, that is why I am asking for opinions ^-^ Best wishes! ^-^

NO DOUBT the Beatles. WHO in the world doesn't like at least one of the Beatles songs. I'm a big fan of oasis but no one has been remembered longer than the Beatles. Like John Hannah in Sliding Doors tells Gwyneth Paltrow, ppl are instinctively born into the world knowing the Beatles lyrics, so they should be called "the Featles" is that helpful?

The Beatles without a doubt! The Beatles have had more no 1 hits and they have more success than Oasis. Oasis are rude and arogant, ok I did follow them in my younger days and did think they were great. Oasis have tried to to copy The Beatles and if you notice in an Oasis video they've copied the Yellow Submarine animaton. Ok, it's good that Oasis are inspired by the The Beatles but, be inspired and just don't try to be them they will never be as talented as the Beatles as they are a class of their own!
Ok I'll get off my soap box now!

My first instinct would be to say the Beatles. They were a tremendous band, but since they're vaunted everywhere as the messiahs of modern music - which I doubt - I've become somewhat irritated by them over the years. It's not such a straightforward question.
Oasis, on the other hand, were arguably the most cutting-edge of the 90's Britpop outfits, and while they undoubtedly had a bit of a Beatles fixation going on, they still managed to produce a distictive and hugely enjoyable sound.
So where does that leave us? Well, in terms of who was the most influential then the Beatles would win hands down. Oasis can't compete with them in terms of influence, back catalogue or fan base.
But I hate to say it - if I wanted good background music for a night in the pub, it'd have to be Oasis...

Well to answer this question you need to put the two groups in the same time…say would oasis do so well in the sixties, without video, internet, MP3, and so on in this modern time, remember there was only one music format then and that was vinyl, and record players was a months wage to buy. and then you must ask, how would the Beatles do today with all the modern stuff and ease of getting hold of music. In my opinion if they went head to head today the Beatles would just win

Without the Beatles to give their influence, there wouldn't be bands like Oasis. The Beatles are the best, without doubt.

The Beatles are the greatest band that ever walked the face of God's green Earth. No one will ever surpass them. No one will ever recreate Beatlemania. Oasis doesn't even deserve to be in the same sentence as them. Wonder wall and Champagne Supernova----Big deal. The Beatles have broken every record there is musically. Over 40 years later and people of all ages know their songs. They are timeless.

Indeed The Beatles. They have been one of the most influential bands ever together with Led Zeppellin and Pink Floyd. They were barrier pushers and pioneers of a myriad of styles to come. Oasis is just a second-rate quality band which feeds on the Beatles carrion.

How is this even a question. Hands down the Beatles-and I don't even like the Beatles, I think they're totally overrated, but they're infinitely better than Oasis.
