We get to dress up, but we were talking about it, and the teacher said, I don't think its such a good idea, and that regular learning should not be disreagarded for a holiday

We can't dress up either... we have to wear uniforms and stuff, and the principal is thinking about canceling homecoming week which sucks... can't we just have a day of fun?! LOL. I see where the teachers are coming from but teens need to dress up and be funny once in a while so that they can be play a positive role in society... well, unless if they want society to be screwed up (isnt it already screwed up?) they ought to let us dress up... ugh...

No,I do not think what your teacher said is retarded. The Halloween costumes may be a small distraction to a few of your classmates or perhaps, even your teacher. However, you could get your classmates together to plan a special Halloween activity during your lunch for afterschool. Good Luck! Smile life is full of possibilities.

Yes it's stupid, I see nothing wrong with dressing up for Halloween, if that's what each individual, wants to do. Halloween comes once a year, it's not like it's every day.

You know, even if you were trying I just don't think you could be so thrilled with other peoples' costumes or so absorbed in your own freakness that you'd fail to learn something. Your teacher is a re-re.

I can understand why she said it. Just dress up after you get home from school.

Everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion and that's hers. You can ignore it. Please don't use the word "retarded" like that. It is very insulting to people with learning disabilities.

Stupid? Yes, but you got it easy. In my school we couldn`t even paint our nails, dye our hair, or wear pants, so count your blessings.
