Galloway vs. The US Senate: Transcript of Statement
"Now, Senator, I gave my heart and soul to oppose the policy that you promoted. I gave my political life's blood to try to stop the mass killing of Iraqis by the sanctions on Iraq which killed one million Iraqis, most of them children, most of them died before they even knew that they were Iraqis, but they died for no other reason other than that they were Iraqis with the misfortune to born at that time. I gave my heart and soul to stop you committing the disaster that you did commit in invading Iraq. And I told the world that your case for the war was a pack of lies.

“I told the world that Iraq, contrary to your claims did not have weapons of mass destruction. I told the world, contrary to your claims, that Iraq had no connection to al-Qaeda. I told the world, contrary to your claims, that Iraq had no connection to the atrocity on 9/11 2001. I told the world, contrary to your claims, that the Iraqi people would resist a British and American invasion of their country and that the fall of Baghdad would not be the beginning of the end, but merely the end of the beginning.

"Senator, in everything I said about Iraq, I turned out to be right and you turned out to be wrong and 100,000 people paid with their lives; 1600 of them American soldiers sent to their deaths on a pack of lies; 15,000 of them wounded, many of them disabled forever on a pack of lies.

If the world had listened to Kofi Annan, whose dismissal you demanded, if the world had listened to President Chirac who you want to paint as some kind of corrupt traitor, if the world had listened to me and the anti-war movement in Britain, we would not be in the disaster that we are in today. Senator, this is the mother of all smokescreens. You are trying to divert attention from the crimes that you supported, from the theft of billions of dollars of Iraq's wealth.

"Have a look at the real Oil-for-Food scandal. Have a look at the 14 months you were in charge of Baghdad, the first 14 months when $8.8 billion of Iraq's wealth went missing on your watch. Have a look at Halliburton and other American corporations that stole not only Iraq's money, but the money of the American taxpayer.

"Have a look at the oil that you didn't even meter, that you were shipping out of the country and selling, the proceeds of which went who knows where? Have a look at the $800 million you gave to American military commanders to hand out around the country without even counting it or weighing it.

"Have a look at the real scandal breaking in the newspapers today, revealed in the earlier testimony in this committee. That the biggest sanctions busters were not me or Russian politicians or French politicians. The real sanctions busters were your own companies with the connivance of your own Government."

People think that Bush bashers are the enemy, people think that anybody that even disagrees with this administration are traitors. People think that things like this post is the lie. It was almost the same thing with Reagan, I seen it then too. Reagan sold arms to our enemy's. Reagan had nothing to do with the fall of Communism in Russia he was just in office at the time that it caved in. But he got and took all the credit. Bush is just as bad, he can lie and tell it with a straight face and the dumbest of us believe him. He told the lies that supported his reasons to go to war. He is enriching himself and his rich friends every day that the war goes on. The investment in the war machine diverts money away from people and causes here in the U.S. that are much needed. At this time I am calling for a full investigation of Mr, Bush's dealings with the hope of possibly finding the truth. If the evidence is strong enough I call for Mr. Bush's impeachment, and I call for him to be turned over to international authority's for trial for his crimes against humanity.

So now we have some lib-tard quoting that barking moonbat Galloway, eh? This is humerous!...LOL!

Galloway sure does like hanging with the sleazy homicidal goat molesters: http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2006/08/terror-suspect-waheed-zaman-met-george.html

Yet again we here the outright LIE that Saddam/Iraq didn't have WMDs... Do lib-tards insist on ignoring reality when it doesn't fit their template?

Well now this posting gets even wierder by the line... Poor lib-tard can't even come to grips with the realities of the UN and the real oil for food scandals...

No,I think no thinking person can actually support the lie or war in Iraq,or anywhere, cause Iraq is just the latest of a series of wars the US started over the last um I don't know,5-6 years at least. They are trying to convince people that with war they can assure peace, that's a nice one.....but still,he got elected for the second time so who knows.....maybe people do believe....

yes it is obvious to most reasonable people that the Bush team were wrong to invade Iraq,, wrong to start a war based on lies,, and misinformation,,, wrong to proclaim MISSION ACCOMPLISHED hundreds of days ago,, more than 2,700 US soldiers dead,, 20,000 injured,, 10,000 amputees,, over 500,000 Iraqi citizens killed,,, while Osama bin Laden,, the worlds #1 terrorist,, remains free in Pakistan on the Afghan border,, continuing to train Taliban terrorists,,,
Bush has bankrupt America,, fiscally and morally

NO. I don't support the lie. It makes me want to cry. We need a hero. What is wrong with our senators (both parties) that they will not impeach Bush? Mass protests on October 5. Make yourself heard.

This is so great that everyone thinks that a million iraqis have died because we killed them one way or another. Now why is it that you say this but have really no proof. Im not saying it didn't happen but its the same ol rethoric that we always hear on both sides. And why are you asking such a stupid question, you must need attention so i have given you some.

No. And while we are distracted with the war, at home, changes are being made that we should be very concerned about.
