At California Adventure, you definitely need to go on Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and probably the Ferris Wheel with the moving cage. Since you don't like roller coasters you won't need to go on California Screamin'. But Grizzly River Run and Soaring Over California are probably the only other things you would like in that park. Too bad you don't like shows, the Aladdin show is really worth seeing.

Disneyland finally reopened Space Mountain. Its really smooth. Splash Mountain is just bumpy and you may get a bit wet. Definitely Indiana Jones and Pirate's of the Caribbean since Depp is a character now. Of course you can't miss seeing Jack Skellington since the Haunted House is done for the holidays. The Matterhorn and the Monorail are closed for refurbishing. Again, since you don't like roller coasters, you can skip Big Thunder Mountain.

Hope this helps. You can go to Disney.com for more info.

Hey,
What coaster do you consider scary? Disneyland's rollar coasters have mostly turns, not many drops. California Adventure's coaster is very high, has huge drops, and has a loop. It depends on which coaster you find scary. For Disneyland I suggest going on Star Tours, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Thundermountain, Indiana Jones, and the Matterhorn. Indiana Jones is more of a bumpy ride. Splash mountain has waterfall drops. Star tours is basically a box you sit in that moves like a space ship.
In California Adventure, most rides on the Pier may be a little over your scary limit. Tower of Terror is also a ride you might not like. Try the Grizzly River Run and Soarin' Over California.
Hope this helps!

You have some good options at Disneyland Resort.

Adventureland:

Jungle Cruise (not necessarily scary, but fun and entertaining)

New Orleans Square:

Pirates of the Caribbean
Haunted Mansion (Make you're own judgment, but it's not too scary)

Critter Country:

Splash Mountain

Fantasyland:

Snow White's Scary Adventure
Mr. Toad's Wild Ride
Pinocchio's Daring Journey
Peter Pan's Flight (not "scary", but fun)

Tomorrowland

Star Tours
Buzz Lightyear

And at California Adventure

Soarin' Over California
Tower of Terror (by definition it's Disney's "scariest" ride, but it's not too terrible)
Grizzly River Run
Maliboomer

And that's not even all your options! For more info check out these websites:

First I would go around the first week of November because there are a lot of attractions that are in their down time right now....

California Adventures the best ride would have to be Soaring over California..that is not a scary ride nor is it boring....another ride that is a lot of fun is Grizzely River Rapids...now I know you said you didnt like shows but you really need to see Turtle Talk...its in the Hollywood Backlot area and its great...its inter active and you can actually ask Crush questions...if you get picked ask where Dory is ok....another great show is a 3-D show with animatronics as well as a 3-D screen...its called a Bugs Life...the other rides in that park are scary like Screaming (a roller coaster), Mullhaland Madness (a roller coaster), Tower of Terror which is worth being scared over cuz the effects are awesome...

At Disneyland there are so many great rides...
I would go on Pirates of the Caribean first thing in the morning because it really tends to get busy later on in the day...they just redid it with Jack Sparrow in it...its amazing...then I would make sure that you go on next the Haunted Mansion...it has a make over too which they changed it into The Nightmare before Christmas...other rides that are great Splash Mountain, Indiana Jones, Star Tours, Autopia, Peter Pan, The Teacups, also what is a cute ride is Storybook Land... Make sure you ride the train around the park and if you are going for a birthday, anniversary, family reunion, I would go to City Hall before you start your day and let them know...ask them if you can ride in the Lilly Belle which is the caboose of one of the trains...they usually only let Club 33 members and VIP's in it but if you mention that you heard Where Dreams Come True and that is has always been a dream of yours to ride in something that Walt built for his wife they just might let you ride on it...hey it worked for us...anyhow I know this is a long answer but if you want more info just im me sherip2005....have a great time there :)

2) Disneyland is child friendly, yet very entertaining. There are suprises instead of evil looking scares.

1) if a roller coaster looks to fast for you in California Adventure, don't go on it. I haven't been on Space Mountain (Disneyland) since it was upgraded, it is completely hidden behind walls/ceiling. It was beyond mellow, but it has injury warnings for those with a weak back or pregnant. The Matterhorn (Dis.) is quick and fun.

The haunted house is all "Nightmare Before Christmas" (Dis.) at this time of year. Very fun!

It used to be easy they had tickets for the rides and listed the rides on the tickets they were for. A ticket had the trolley car, etc. the E ticket had the best of the best rides listed. Now they have long lines to slow you down instead of tickets (since the late 1960s). Get there early, get a ride pass (fast-pass I think it's called). Look for the machines at the best rides, and get your ticket ready. The machine gives appointments for your ride on it. It reads your card and issues a pass to you. You can only have one at a time (I think), and the best rides sell out fast. There are separate lines for those with the pass and they are fast. Otherwise you can be stuck in a slow line, which is what you do at another rides, while waiting for your appointed time on the fast pass.

When we were young, we used to get there early and run from ride to ride before the lines got long.

3) Me too, but I gave in when my kids were little and they wanted to see one. Sure was nice to sit down for a while and the show was good. The rides are short, not restful, and the lines keep you standing.

If it gets too crowded there, just think of Tokyo Disneyland. My neighbor, (Disney employee, engineers rides) says that lines are up to 5 hours long and the average rides a person gets in one day are 3-4. (They are big on souvenirs, no wonder.)

If you have to buy something, there are a couple of stores that have storage for your purchases, you can pick up everything before you leave. There are lockers too, they are good for jackets, etc.

Food: research the web site, there are some restaurants that require reservations in advance. I heard that the Blue Bayou gets booked a year in advance, but I wouldn't let that stop me. It's always night there because it's inside Pirates of the Carabeen Ride. (entrance near the ride's exit) http://disneyland.disney.go.com/disneyland/en_US/parks/dining/detail?name=BlueBayouDiningPage - It is expensive, like dining on a patio in the evening (all day), with crickets chirping, and a river with small boats of people floating by (riders). If you can, do one great restaurant. Downtown Disney has some too. Then eat at cheap spots the rest of the time to make up for it. Expect to pay 7-10 dollars total for hamburger, fries and a drink. Disney parks don't rip you off like other parks do, but you won't find a 99 cent burger.

The best rides have signs that say the wait time and it's usually long. Most popular at Disneyland; Matterhorn, Space Mountain, Haunted House, Indiana Jones and also Splash Mountain are the ones with the longest waits.

Pay attention to the parade times. Lines get shorter, but you don't want to be on the wrong side of the park when they start, because you can't get across. Tip; the train can get you around the parade, but you have to wait for it. Some people get good spots for the parade early, so that eases up the ride lines for a while.

HAVE FUN!

decide for the bigger factors of interest in Disneyland Tokyo The climate there is extra desirable too, aside from being extra spacious No harm finding out the Disneyland-HK for the journey nevertheless ....
