I have a one month old son, and he is very cute. My husband and I would like to know how do we get him "auditions" for things? Do we have to get head shots taken? Do we need an agent? Where do we even begin? How much does something like this normally cost to get started?

Take some pics yourself. Most places don't require professional headshots for little ones. Look in your metropolitin phone book for modeling agencies and call around. They will tell you what you need to send in. As for acting, most shows have to have twins when it is a baby because of the long hours (that is why the Olsen twins played one character on Full House), but I suppose he could do commercials, print ads, etc.

All the places I called when my baby was little didn't cost at all.

Have fun and enjoy!

Watch out for agencies that promise a lot or/and charge a lot for portfolios. The kid is going to change very fast every couple months. I would think you might want an independent to create a portfolio but by the time it is done the kid will have changed... hopefully cuter.

Stop using your ONE MONTH old son as a tool to satisfy some inner feelings YOU and your HUSBAND have to be on stage. For crying out loud, let the kid be a kid and grow up normal. You should feel privileged and happy to have such a beautiful baby. He is in your care, not for your entertainment, but for your nurturing. Your ideas make me sick!!

Chow!!

you dont need headshots, but a portfolio... with different outfits, and well positions. we just had our 11 month old's done and we now need to find someone to look at it... anyway, cost shouldnt be to much, call around and ask the photographers in your area.

You can get some snapshots. They don't need to be professional. You might also have them digitized then get a premium portfolio on http://www.modelpages.tv I've seen several do it there before.
