Hadn't they already clinched well before yesterday? After Thursday's games, they had 94 wins, and the next closest team (San Diego) only had 86, and there were only three games left. It seems to me that Mets clinched the NL's best record at least 5 or 6 days ago.

I thought they clinched the division, but they clinched home field, right? I could be wrong, but having read that I thought that was what they were saying.
