I put 28/36 and got 2/3 but the book says the answer is 7/9. Am i doing something wrong?

28/36 = 7/9

You started off right, but it looks like you made a mistake when you simplified the fraction.

Divide the numerator and denominator of 28/36 by 4 and you'll get 7/9.

28/36 is right, but 28/36 is not 2/3, divide both numbers by four.
28 divided by four is 7, and 36 divided by four is 9, the answer is 7/9. Just for future reference, 24/36 is 2/3. Good luck

You must be doing something wrong with your reducing.

28/36

Divide both numbers by 4.

28/4 = 7

36/4 = 9

so the answer is 7/9

just divide 3 divided by 28.
