I agree. The quality of films have gone way down. I would like them try to explore more social issues like Crash. I would like to see more exposure to the less popular actors like Angela Bassett or Diane Keaton.

It's all about the money, trying to make the next huge mega-blockbuster. So formula plots, the same tired actors and no originality.
There are plenty of stories to be told, but that's deemed 'risky' or 'niche' and therefore it's hard for the people who want to tell these stories to get the movies made and distributed.
Vote with your wallet -- just don't go to sequels or remakes or anything you're not dying to see. Check out foreign films -- countries like France subsidise their native film industries so that they can compete against Hollywood; less financial pressure and an expectation that they be culturally worthwhile mean better films. Or some of the old classics. Libraries are great for exploring different genres.
I'd like to see more movies with strong female leads where the male romantic interest is just as strong. The Drew Barrymore version of Cinderella was pretty good for that. Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon is fantastic -- two pairings of equals, all four with their own personal challenges to overcome -- and so is House of Flying Daggers.

Unfortunately, there is no originality in Hollywood anymore but if they insist on doing TV shows remakes,
I think the Bionic Man would be a good one.

It is hard for movies to compete with the Internet. I think there have been lots of good ones anyway. I would like to see more police movies with clever detectives.

Yes, and they put jerks like Dr. Phil in the silly scenes that are not funny if that is their goal, and pitifull if not. I'd like to see some westerns, and maybe a good comedy team like the old ones, without being vulgar.

I read a fictional action adventure a while back... The Cyrptonomicron, by Neal Stephenson. Actually his book Snow Crash could be another good movie.

I definitely have noticed. There must be some people out there that are not tired of this as they are still making them and money from people watching them.

I agree, its all TV follow ups that don't match up to the original..I would like to see more new original ideas....looking forward to see "The Queen" I have seen trailers and it looks interesting! also I would like to see films that left it to your imagination rather than show the whole blood and gore etc., on screen.

it rather is the way they are and thats the fact. They stay in undesirable words. As I even have observed , circulate away on my own their movies even their television serials are an identical and its rather a shame on us to video show such vulgar issues, because of the fact if we watch and anticipate it as a classic subject in the kin , we are giving or coaching our young toddlers too an identical way because of the fact the individuals stay " in undesirable words ". watching their vulgar movies result human beings in many approaches naming some : they supply them undesirable recommendations, instruct them vulgar strikes and apart from the undesirable language itself , because of the fact the asserting is going, " words communicate extra valuable THAN strikes ". this might impact our youthful technology very badly and it rather is already doing that considering the fact that I even have seen many young toddlers making use of this slang language better than in simple terms before now a days, the reason being that they watch those movies and serials lots. We as mothers and fathers would desire to beware of this style and keep away from ourselves and our young toddlers from watching those vulgar western stuff as a fashion to risk-free shield our lifestyle from corruption of our upcoming society.

Thats because they're running out of good ideals. So they steal most ideals off books and make them worse.
