how many are in the complete colection and where can i get a detailed list with pictures of the figures

There is a book called 'Star Wars - The action figure archive', which is very good.

Another way is to look on the back of the cards / boxes on old star wars cards / boxes (These can be got from a range of places including e-bay & collectors site) as they gave details on the ranges available.

My mate Dave knows all about vintage star wars figures. Apparently there is a book listing them all. Some go for £70 plus so if you have some rare original ones you could be onto a winner.........

you may generally locate the older, performed with condition toys at backyard revenues or maybe on ebay for a stable fee. I easily have offered various lots of performed with condition figures off of ebay for purely $20. I easily have even stumbled on lots of the old playsets, ships, and so on.
