I know that Shayne Ward won the last one (2005) but I can't remember how many there were before that and who won them. Please help me me and my sister are going mad cos we cant remember.

There have only ever been 2 winners of The X Factor. Steve Brookstein and Shayne Ward. Before that it was Pop Idol, before that Popstarz: The Rivals, Popstarz

1st series in 2004 was Steve Brookstein
2nd series in 2005 was Shayne Ward
3rd series in 2006 is the current series so no winner chosen yet.
And finally in May/June 2006 they had the Celebrity X-Factor which was won by Lucy Benjamin.

Michelle McManus and Gareth Gates and Will Young were all Pop Idol incidently and before that it was Pop Stars, NOT X-Factor.

i'm an worker for a contracting employer that works with new child toddlers in hospitals. I easily have not in any respect, not in any respect heard of a toddler with the call HOMER!!! So, if you're thinking the call no count once you've a baby your baby stands out as the single and only as well the unique Homer Simpson!!!

there was steve brookstein who released an album this week
no other x factor winners, it was pop idol before that, will young, michelle mcmanus(who has a new record deal) and then before that there was pop stars hearsay and girls aloud
there is a big piece in the daily mirror about it today

before that I think it was pop idol, and will young was a winner on that (garath gates got a contract as well as runner up), it all started with pop stars which hearsay won, pop stars the rivals which turned out a boyband (forgot them) and a girlband which was girls aloud.
