I think that the world may eventually be seriously damaged by war and terrorism but I think that the world will actually come to an end when the next unstoppable meteor is heading straight for our planet.

Since the Sun lacks the critical mass it cannot supernova, but it can just expend its fuel (hydrogen) and then everything will freeze.
