Or Bob McAllister's Wonderama show, which I think was on Sundays?
Hobo Kelly had a kid's show on in Southern California during after-school hours.
Does anyone remember her? I loved her show. Whatever happened to them?

BTW, Hobo Kelly is NOT the same as the great clown Emmett Kelly. Hobo Kelly was a woman, and MUCH younger than Emmett Kelly.

Hobo Kelly was a character portrayed by Sally Baker in the 60s on a local kid's show in Los Angeles. She painted magic pictures that actually came to life on your TV screen with the help of Buttercup, the butterfly. She would introduce cartoons by saying, "Cartoon Hooooooo" - and she would refer to her television audience as "Michief Makers".

Wow, I had forgotten about the Romper Room Show. I watched it alot when I was a child. But, no, I never had the Happy Birthday via her magic mirror. I was envious of those that did. I'm sure that it made your day when you were wished a Happy Birthday. Lucky you. A great childhood memory for you to have.
