Most carrots grow the same...the green part is about as long as the orange part...they can be picked anytime...But don't let them get to big , they get a bit woody as they get bigger.

you can pick carrots anytime it all depends how big you want themif you like little ones pick when about 1-2 in and big ones 6-7 in. now if you are in the northern us. i would get them all in now frost is comeing

well first of all you don't pick carrots. they grow in the ground like a root. when the green leafy thing on top gets about 5inches tall it should be ready to pull up from the ground.
