Ok, I don't frequent strip clubs. I did go to one last night with a couple of friends who were celebrating an event. All night long the strippers I would meet would ask me if I had a girlfriend or if I was married. Why were they asking this? Were they asking to see if I was faithful or if I'm a scoundrel? Do strippers give not so good treatement to guys with girlfriends or wives? Did they see a look of defeat in my eyes and figured, this guy must have a girlfriend nagging him all day? When I ask my friends, who go to strip clubs more often than I do, they said they were never asked that question.

Take a moment and think about it.
If she can get you to think she likes you in a way other than just business, you will more than likely spend money on her. It's the oldest trick in the book man.

They were asking you this as a conversation starter. Strippers only care about one thing, and that is do you have any money and how can they get you to give it to them. They're on the hustle from the minute you walk in untill yo walk out. If you leave, say your keys on the table, and return to get them they will try and hustle you then. THis is the nature of the beast, this what they do and many do it quite well and as long as you understand that going in everyone can have a good time

I go to strip clubs on a regular basis - as a matter of fact a have a VIP pass - and have never been asked that or any similar question.

Dude, it's all a game. They want your money! Based on your answers, they are gonna try to feel you out and see if you are really looking for attention from a woman or if you are just having fun. Plus, it could be small talk. They see hundreds of guys everyday and they are trying to break the ice. Don't read too much into it.

I have that look and am asked that all the time when I go to strip clubs.
I realized after a while that they are just trying to get me to spend my money - what better way to get me to spend my money then make me feel like they want me.
Trust me - they don't want you, they want yo' money!

They earn minimum wage. Tips is how they make there money and flirting with alot of beer helps you to loosen up your wallet. Trust me, they are professionals. Not hookers but they know how to get your money.
