ok, since last night my google search engine has been down. I tried it on all the other computers in the house and all computers do not have google.com coming up. Is the site temporary shut down right now?

It seems to be OK from this side of the pond (UK) - and I am looking at google.com not google.co.uk.
Your ISP might have a local DNS problem.

There is no way google was down. You may have been experiencing a temporary problem with your DNS servers that all your computers in your house share.

if it is down, the canadian Google is still working. This should be the best answer to solve your problem.
