We did that at one time and picked a very unique name for a son (we had run out of family-related names so it was open season on choices). What we learned since then is that is not a really good idea. He has spent all of his life explaining to people what is name is, how it is spelled, and how it is pronounced. When his older sister had kids she gave them very easy to spell names that there is never a question about. She explained that it was the plight of her brother that convinced her to go with the simplest spelling of the most-straight-forward names. Don't fall into the trap of the most exotic weird name that you can uncover just so that no one else will have it.
