I was just reading the "featured question". Am I the only woman who thinks this is a bunch of crap? Why do there need to be more women in "power". How does that solve anything? Aren't people in general in charge of their own "power"? Doesn't anyone else notice that men are discriminated as well, they just dont' whine about it as much? I happen to have a great career......BUT being a mother and the head of my household (for the most part) is the best position of power I could ask for! Are the power hungry women missing that fact? Or are they so darn insecure that they have to get on their soap box and cry "discrimination!" Do we get discriminated? sure.......so does every other "group" out there that can be stuck in a category. It just seems like a cover up for insecurity and also an excuse for personal failures.

Yes, I am tired of hearing about it. But it DOES happen in other countries. It's a sad reality. In America, women do have power. We do have a voice, and choices and other wonderful things. But it's also true that women don't have as many grossly over paying jobs as men. (The Glass Ceiling) Everyone is excluded from time to time, agreed. It's just going to be one of those things that makes up life. It can't be perfect and it'll never be. But that doesn't mean we should stop trying to make improvements for equality, the world just can't overcompensate, otherwise that'll lead to worse problems.

It's great that you're happy and fulfilled, but I caution you to leave your assumption about power-hungry women. Some are career oriented because that's what makes them happy and that's what they want.

I'm not tired of it. I'm tired of people who see women as inferior. It's not only about power, it's the language, it's the way the society sees you. Why does speaking out discrimination bother you so much? Surely, you are happy with your life and you're not doing anything to change the way the society sees women. But why are you so mad at people who are doing something?

True, but what is the solution? Christian white males- currently the most discriminated group- aren't going to start b*tching moaning, and certainly not in courts. Liberals, women, and minorities aren't going to stop. So what will be the result?

The only reason why they feel "discriminated" is because they don't do a darn thing and expect to get what they want! Give and take, thats what.
