you get points for answering, points for choosing a best answer, n all you gety for asking, is five points deducted.....no fair.

good question. I think we should atleast on point for askin. Though deducting makes it harder to get the the higher score
u want to answer more questions that way.

Why is it so important to gather in points? You're right, it is more fun than answering. As long as you select a 'best answer' when the three days are up, it will only cost you two points, and you can make that up by answering one question.

Don't be a points miser. If you want to know something, ask.

by awarding points when asking, then every user will ask zillions of questions, no matter how silly. They do that even now, when the are taken 5 points from doing so. If you don;t see the point, think about how many silly, unwanted and nothing-to-do answers someone receives when asking a question.

Well then people would ruin it.. You know it is easy to ask than answering. I can ask 100 questions in a minute but cannot answer that much :)

Current logic of Yahoo! Answers is quiet fair i think.

i thought that so now i answer more questions than i ask then when I've enough points I'll ask some questions. The points are stupid but I'm sad and like to win so i keep at it!!

i agree, there are so many questions i want to ask and if there is a question i can answe usually people have already said what i was going to. :(
