I am senior at high school and I still hadnt had bf. Until last year I didnt have need to have one but now I think that it would be kind of nice to have someone share my thoughts, problems etc. But I dont feel ready. I have no much time as I am doing hard work trying to get to med school. And what is strangest thing, I have good relationship with my parents but i think i would die from shame if they would find out I have bf. I mean, what is wrong with me, I am 17 all my friends had several bfs. Or this is normal and everyone matures differently? Sorry my bad spelling I am still learning English:)

Every one is different. I was 18 when I had my first date (could hardly call it a boyfriend). I guess I had my first boyfriend at 20 and that did not last but a few months. Then later on that same year I met the man that turned out to be my husband. So that was it for me. I did not like the idea of casual dating and having a few boyfriends at the same time. Eventually you will meet someone you really like and then you will be ready.

Who cares about the other girls. It's all fine! If you don't feel comfortable.. then that's fine and if other people can't accept that, then that's their problem. At least you know who you are and aren't desperate, some girls are, so they'll go out with tons of guys and they all turn out to be losers. You are still young and when you are ready to have a bf, you will! :)

because your not, when your ready to have one you wont be wondering should I, most of the time in life if you don't feel ready you are not. and yes everyone matures differently and most likely your parents would not have a problem with you having a boy friend in fact I'm sure they are proud that you have waited this long plus college is the time when most people explore their sexuality(I'm not advocating that though)

You don't need a boyfriend to share your thoughts and problems with, but you do need a best friend, or at least someone to talk to. I am glad you have a good relationship with your parents, but it isn't good enough to tell them EVERYTHING, because, well, that would just be weird...lol, but anyway, a good friend is what you need.

Wow, 17 and NEVER had a bf? Your missing out, not just on the sexual fun, but it is good to have a person care for you and someone to talk to and bond with.
