keeping email option in yahoo answers give you a possibility of good feedback. though i understand problem in keeping instant massage open.
i keep my both options open.

I think they just don't realize that they don't have the option open - it's frustrating when you get an email from someone and you want to respond but can't!

They are wussies and are out just to piss people off with no consequences... I leave mine open even though I get much more HATE mail than I do nice mail

I just realized mine wasn't on. But opening it up may open up a can of worms (Oooo worms good) that folks just may not want to open.
