I use Limewire Pro, and paid for it and downloaded it directly from Limewire's site. The "free" version you get on their site is plain and simply, the plain and simple "free" version.
As far as downloading it from somewhere "else", (i.e. a hacked copy, key gen. copy, etc.) I can't say much about those.
