how many extensions should i use if i just want to fill in and where could i serach on line for seperate piece its not like i need a whole crown.

The best option is if you are going to a salon, to ask for a few rows of extensions which they will stitch into very small braids which they will make first on your scalp. If it's just for a special event, you can also get a professional to bond a few extensions into the thinner and/or shorter areas of your hair. Because bonding also involves glue, make sure you go back to them to have them removed properly!

If you are doing it on your own, try clip in hair extensions which are super easy to apply.
