Don't worry about that just think about how much longer you could LIVE.

My dad died at 66 from smoking and suffered for many years before that!

I gained 30 pounds so far. I quit 2 months ago. I'm not having much luck losing it even with diet and exercise but I am going to stick with NOT smoking as I feel much better that way. I might be a porker but oh well, at least I can breath

On the average, a person gains about ten pounds. I quit smoking about five years ago. I gained about five pounds or so, but have now lost that extra weight being that I no longer need to use food to stop the craving for a cigarette, because I no longer have that craving.

There is no standard amount. Some people don't gain any weight at all. It depends on what you eat and how much you eat in order to take your mind off smoking. Its giving up one bad habit for another. Seek medical advice.

Well i gave up smoking last year after 33 years addiction so to say. i gained 5killos, in the first 6 months, and after 1 year im back to my normal weight. your body does adjust to the change after 1 year. and you do go back to normal weight. its well worth the effort. i certainly feel so much better. good luck

you dont generaly dont gain weight when you stop smoking, but when you quit you have to replace the habbit with something else well food satisfies you and you put it to your mouth so as long as you dont compensate the cigrettes for the food you shouldnt gain any at all but its hard :(

You should be asking yourself how much money you will save and how much longer you will live if you did not smoke
