You in fact do "not" have to have a Yahoo E-Mail account. Hence why when you download Yahoo! Instant Messenger, you can create a "new" screen name right from the IM's interface. When creating a new name it DOES however GIVE you the option to create an E-Mail account using that new name as well, but you do not have to check that option. I have a couple Yahoo! IM names that don't have attached E-Mail accounts with them.

simple thing is that go to www.yahoo.com ,get the yahoo messenger i mean download on your pc ,create your account (sign up for yahoomail) then use your id in yahoo messenger sign in (yahoo mail and yahoomessenger id is not a different but you can use it in both services and also to other yahoo services
go and join chat family with yahoo messenger

Yes, you do have to have a yahoo acount. And u press on yahoo messenger on ur yahoo homepage to download it.

You have to have a Yahoo profile/360 page, but do not have to have the email address from my understanding.

yea if you want yahoo messanger you need an yahoo e-mail add me im leeann_nicholls@yahoo.com lol you dont have to though
