Try Walmart, Burger King, McDonalds, and any ice cream shops you can find. Be aware, though, that they will only let you work certain hours because of your age. Good luck on your search!

Beauty shops will sometimes hire young ladies. The problem is the insurance issue in Ca. No one will write a policy that includes children. Insurance companies do not even offer any. SO, I would look in places that are female oriented. And, if you do find something, have mom or dad check it out with you. There are far too many predators out there. And I am sorry if you are not a girl. I just took a stab in the dark as you do not give your gender.
Good luck!

The only way to do it, is to go out there and ask! Go into every place you can find, ask if they are hiring, if so, ask to fill out an application - make sure to do it very neatly - and afterwards, always ask if the manager or hiring personnel is available, so that you can directly talk to them about wanting to work for them. If they ask of previous experience, tell them that being 14, this will be your first job, however you have a lot of enthusiasm, you are dependable and you will give it 110%. Oh, and if your state requires it , you would need to get a work permit from your school. You get that in the office of your school. Dont' expect to make a lot about minimum pay for your first job.........you must work your way up, as we all have.

My first job was at burger king. I learned alot about the workforce in general, but I did't make too much money. Good thing about it was that most fast food places are generally flexible with scheduling. Try working in a shopping center where there are other companies which you might be interested i working with. Chances are, they probably go get lunch where you work and they'll notice you. You might get a job offer you eer would hae expected. Good luck!

Bagging groceries and returning grocery carts is about the only thing businesses hire 14-year-olds to do. You can babysit?
Ooh, another thing I just thought of. Amusement parks usually will go ahead and hire 14-year-olds, but the season's almost over. It wouldn't be till March they'd hire again.

It doesn't pay a lot, but there is a new site to make money doing the same thing we are doing now on Yahoo!Answers.... just posting, responding and rating. I'm new but I love it! It's like Yahoo!Answers with perks.
