This is my first month on birth control and I was wondering if it was safe to skip my period this month. I know not to do it a lot, but can I do it on my first month?

Also, is it possible instead of taking your weeks worth of sugar pills the fourth week, can you take a week of the real deal out of the next pack, THEN take the sugar pills? I just want to delay it a week.... is there a way to do that?

If you are skipping your period it is best to just continue that pack of pills. Don't take the active pills out of order. (not sure if this makes sense)

As always you should really check with your Dr to make sure it is safe for you to do this.

I have no idea if it's safe, but I've found that with birth control, you're in comlete control of your period. It doesn't really come until you want it to (when you take the sugar pills). I've heard of people puting it off for months (up to three) by just skipping the sugar pills and starting a new pack.
If you take a week out of the new pack, the won't work well when you start the rest of the pack. (if you're using them to stop pregancy) I think the hormones are different each week.

According to my doctor, it is perfectly safe to skip the sugar pills and start right into the next pack to avoid having a period. I would not however, recommend starting a new pack and then going back to the sugar pills since it will screw up your cycle, and you risk pregnancy.

You would mess your cycle up doing that. I would not recommend it at all. If you miss two days, it is best to just wait until the Sunday after your cycle starts to start taking it again. I would not take the first week when you are suppose to be menstruating, not a good idea.
