At the doorstep of globalisation, the different countries` pollitical, religious, ethnic and whatsoever issues does not stay within their geographical boundaries anymore. Today, the problems of one country affect more or less firstly it`s closest neighbours and then on the chain everybody else.
In a global society, there should be a center, let`s say for the pollitical side of it, which shapes to be the U.S., and a financial center which is likely to be Europe.
So, in this manner of thought, if you look at the big picture which extends itself in the near future as well, you might reach to the conclusion that what Bush is doing today in the middle east may just turn out to be the best.
Because, if we want a global society, it, at least, should share the same social structure.
You can not have more social systems in it than one, which is democracy, so far.
And, if we leave those countries, who still leave by religious and traditional laws, then the wholeness of global humanity can not be accomplished.
So, it might look cruel and unjust at the time being what Bush is doing, but in the wider picture, it is just as it should be, aka the chain of events unfolding in the present is just right.
Of course, it is easy to be objective when those events does not involve you physically.
For, some, let`s say, Iraqi, who lost their children in this war, or parents or whole familly, or a limb, or an eye.. could not percieve things this way, still regardless, in the long term they will come to appreciate it.
History shows us that changes are rarely and mostly never accepted easilly and without great turmoils.
So, if you have to answer with "yes and no", the answer would be: No, it is cruel and inhumane what we see and mostly what we don not see on the news going on in the troubled regions of the world, in particular Iraq. But, yes, it is the right and probably the only way to ensure a future in which those nations can choose freely their life, religion, love and destiny.
