I am a broke pre-med student who is also engaged--my fiance and i are both clean and enjoy a good sex life---yet all of my money goes to my rent and my car and insurance---my insurance does not cover my birth control pills and i was wondering the price of planned parenthoods birth control pills---i have a perscription from my doctor-would planned parenthood fill it for me? It has come down to me having $30 in my checking account, and the pills are $50---i am not freaking overdrafting my checking account for some damn pills again---and i think i should ask my fiance to help me out with the cost since there are 2 of us in this relationship-any ideas on planned parenthoods prices would be welcome------they are closed today so i have not talked to them yet-i am thinking that this is my only option, or to stop having sex, but i really don't want to keep going on and off the pill-my body is sensitive to change like that-also, any insurance in ohio that might cover birth control! Thanks!

I go to planned parenthood for my exams and pills. First they ask you your income and then put you on a sliding scale accordingly. And even after that they only ask you to pay what you think you can afford. My pills are about $25 a month. But, when I was in school they were cheaper.
Good luck!!

I have what is called family planning medicaid. It pays for my birth control and 1 examination per year. I just went to the health department in my town and applied for it because it is based on need. So my birth control is free. But I don't think that asking your beau is a bad idea either. There are 2 of you and it wouldn't hurt for him to help a little. Good Luck.

I just to go to planned parenthood & everything was free any kind of birth control even the exams all they ask you is for you to give them a donation(like$20.00) so they can be helping you. They are good I love their privacy just call & tell them that you will like to make an appoitment to get birth control.

My pills also cost 50 bucks!! I don't take them to avoid getting pregnant but for other female health issues so I have no choice but you can always ask your doctro to switch you to a pill which is more affordable. Birth control is birth control. I don't think it really matters which pill you take as long as it serves it's purpose and works well with your body.
