ASLAN ASLAN ASLAN ASLAN!!!!

formed 24 years ago with 6 albums to their credit, they have a massive following in Ireland. I think they are the biccies, they are rock, influenced by Bowie among others. Fronted by the most enigmatic person on earth Christy Dignam, they have worked with many of the most succesful irish artists such as sinead o connor and don baker... there are hundreds of things i want to say about them cos I love them so much!!! look for them on the web and we might see you at the gigs one day soon!!!

But you cannot beat the Showbands back in the 60's and 70's. The Royal, Dickie Rock, The Cadets, Big Tom & The Mainliners, Larry Cunningham, Big Jim Tobin and The Firehouse Men to name but a few. You can still get their recordings now on CD's.

There was "The Cranberries" in the mid 90's, who in my opinion were very under-rated. Check out their biggest hits...."Zombie" and "Ode to a family"
