the christians report so called abuse (even when it's not abuse) Yahoo Answers issues a violation notice really quickly, but when christians abuse people in the LGBT section, Yahoo Answers takes no action?
I think we should bring a class action law suit against Yahoo answers unless they improve matters immediately and treat all users equally.

GayMatthewSF,
I am embarrassed by them, being a Christian myself. I try as much as I can to counter their corruption of the Gospel. They do my Lord a disservice. I can do nothing about their reporting, other than attempt to direct their anger towards me, and then hopefully themselves.

Know that we are not all like that. I'm really sorry.

I do understand what you're saying, and the christians that abuses has no right to do that.

But seriously, as long as we're sontinue to fight (no lawsuit) they'll give up. hopefully.

Because there is nothing that these villians can do to us! They like to act like they're being heroes, trying to eleminate our post, but since we got the GBLT section, it's not like the yahopo answers will remove it. If they got a brainl, they'll realize it's just a discrimiation against gays and they have to take notice themselves.

A lawsuit will be a bad idea, don't forget, the government is on the enemy's side. remember those fights for gay marriage and all those people lost? it's gonna be hell if we try a lawsuit too. And this site belongs to yahoo answers, not ours. but we do have a right to post all we want.

I believe it's fair to report those villians ourselves. Which i did to Ogla and Eugene.

Christians tend to whine and complain more, so more abuse complaints are registered by them. When THEY commit the abuse, most other people just shake their heads and let it pass without reporting it. It's not Yahoo's fault that Christians need to complain all the time and that they feel like they need protection from all the big bad gay Yahoo posters. They have a victim complex going from wayyyy back and they feel picked on easily.

I am a gay Christian myself and I get annoyed when misguided but sincer Christian hurl abuse at gay people.

Yahoo must take action against them because as of today it is now an offence to abuse someone because of their sexuallity.

If some now calls a gay person a 'queer b****' the can be taken to court for sexual harrasment as of today.

A class action lawsuit is not appropriate. That would be a monumental waste of time and money. Besides, yahoo can do whatever it wants. This is their site and our usage of it is not a guaranteed right.

The best response for intolerance is to ignore it. Don't dignify their rants and intolerance.

i couldn't have said it any better than C Fowler. gays have a tendancy to believe they're constantly being victimised - makes some people feel better about themselves, covers up the problems in their own life. yahoo isn't a public company, it's not owned by the government and isn't subject to any real restrictions as such. yahoo could, in theory, be as homophobic as it likes (it's not), maybe you just believe it has a duty to be neutral because of its ubiquity? whatever, you're wrong. you could go to court asking to file a lawsuit against them but the judge would promptly tell you to fu.ck off and stop wasting his time

Lawsuit? Maybe if you were paying for the service. They can't control everything. Maybe you should stop using profanity or blatently offensive slurs. And unbunch your panties, Maria.
