I would have to say that the Pet Cemetary movies SUCKED!! Stephen King only wrote the first one to get a book out and get some money. I cannot believe that they actually made a second one and I paid money to see it. They rate among the absolute worst.
My absolute favorite scary movies of all time would have to be:
1. Psycho-The black and white one
2. The Shining-Jack Nicholson one
3. The Exorcist-The Original one
4. Poltergeist-The first one

Nightmare on elm street, the first hallowieen movie, and any thing Hitchcok! The newer fright flicks are too graphic for me-- I like the way the older films used stop-motion and puppets instead of the cgi that is used in modern films... Oh, and the more recent movies I swear are written by guys with PhD's in psychology-- they are TOO scary to be enjoyed. Movies like Hostel and Saw will never be seen by a chicken like me...

Poltergeist is the all time scariest. The Exorcist and the Omen are right up there, too. And the classic Universal horror flicks like Dracula, Frankenstein and the Mummy.
I don't like the new slasher types like the Ring, Saw or the Grudge. I think you should have to use your imagination and have suspense. It shouldn't be about what studio can have the best FX, but about who can get inside your head the best.

Well....the one that scared me the most was the original " Texas Chainsaw Massacre", I lived in Southern Texas as a kid when the real life " Orchard murders" occured....It was all in the news & papers... I think that the Movie was based upon those tragic real life murders....whoa...one I kind'a wished that I hadn't seen , just sooo disturbing...
