Mate, don't knock it!
I grow a beard in what feels like a day. And I hate it.
If not being able to grow a beard is being a freak, I'd be a freak at the drop of a hat, if I could!
If it helps I'd say about half the fellas I know don't grow a full beard. But it's all a matter of degree.

I'm 30 and I can grow a goatee / mustache, but the hair on the cheeks doesn't get thick enough for a full beard.

My Dad can't grow a beard either- he's filipino and they don't have much facial hair.

It is probably a genetic situation. I Can grow one but I have friends and teachers who have the same problem you state... they asked their docs and it seems to be genetic.
