If I was to write a check today (Saturday) would it get to the bank before Tuesday the 3rd ??

Depends on the bank and the store. Sometimes stores take it right out because they will convert the check right away. So it just depends. I would not chance it. It is no longer safe to float checks.

If it's processed electronically, it will be debited from your account immediately; even on a weekend. Many businesses -- Wal-Mart for one -- process checks electronically. If I write a check at my local Wal-Mart I can see it on my account on-line by the time I get home.

Alot of businesses turn the check into an electronic debit, so yes it might.

Depends on who you write it to and also where they are located in relation to your bank. If they took it to your bank on Monday morning you would be stuck...who knows...they might bank there too!
