I made 3 poems for my English project but i think this is the best.
Beloved
Far apart yet close
My beloved was always in my memory
This was what I wanted the most
For all of my eternity
My beloved was by my side
Helping me in the dark
But you were swept away by the tide
Leaving me in the dark
My life was forever lonely
My future is broken
I was lost in the dark, frighteningly
Nothing was left to be spoken
Those who live in reality are lucky
Those who die in reality are strange
This was the point of our reality
My beloved, there is nothing we can change
In reality my heart made mistakes
For no reason I was set free
I was never awake
Nor could I flee
My beloved would neither answer nor her could I sight
I had lost my time and I returned
I needed to be brought back in the light
But I know that someday my beloved would return
My voice did not reach my beloved
She was lost and for her I yearned
Where was my regarded beloved?
I know that someday she would return

I like it.....It's for a Dr Seuss tribute book, right?
I especially like how you rhyme "return" with "return" and "dark" with "dark."
