Tennessee. There are no reptiles to eat you. There are no fish to eat you. No hurricane has ever directly hit The Volunteer State. My opinion is Tennessee is the most beautiful state east of The Mississippi River. There is lots to do and see in Tennessee. I'd go to Chattanooga any day before Orlando. Nashville, Bristol, and Memphis is fun also. Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg is kinda neat if you got the money. There is a reason why no one lived in Florida before the air conditioner was invented.

You can't argue whether which one is better. Only thing you can argue is that they are different. It all depends on what you like. Do you like a more peaceful, less populated setting or do you prefer beaches, and palm trees and the risk of tropical storms/hurricanes? The cost of living in Florida is rising because of all the risk that is involved with living there. Tennessee is a beautiful state with warm summers and cold winters, offering you snow in the winter, and sunshine in the summer. The best of both worlds I guess. I'm not saying Tennesee is better, but I would rather live there than Florida.

i wouldnt say either one is better than the other . here in florida its different than tennessee we dont have the mountains or the obvious change in seasons and we are more humid and hotter and have the potential of more hurricanes and have beaches.while tennesse is beautiful because of the mountains and the country and its cities has different things to do than we do . now when it comes to football i dont watch it but i think we in florida kick butt

Tennessee is beautiful, we moved here two years ago from Indiana, the Cumberland Plateau area is especially beautiful if you get off of the main highways off of 127, lots of waterfalls in the area, hiking trails, overlooks. bluffs and beautiful Valleys.
People are really friendly and the pace is slower, and if you are considering moving from the north, winters are milder, average year round temp is in the 50's, coldest months are Jan. Feb, and beginning of March. April the weather starts getting nice and the pear trees start blooming, sprink lookl like the garden of Eden down here.
We haven't looked back since our move down here.

Florida has beaches but is overcrowded. It has a more diverse culture, but more bugs and humidity. Temps get hotter but has milder winters. Hurricanes.

Tennessee has mountains but gets snow. More open land and fresh air, but less night life in a lot of places. Great southern cooking but not a lot of diversity. Tornadoes.

I guess it depends on which you prefer. Personally, I love both!
