Multiplayer I'd have to for Goldeneye and the one player was addictive too.
One player I really liked Broken Sword. I realise it's a point and click and therefore not to everyone's tastes but this game sucked me in through it's excellent plot, witty dialogue and compulsive gameplay.

1. God Of War (awesome action game)
2. Final Fantasy X (RPG)
3. Dark Cloud 2 (also RPG)
4. ATV Offroad Fury 2 or 3 (racing)
5. any Madden game (football)
I like action or RPGs best, but I tried to mix it up for you! I also love all the Ratchet and Clank games, Final Fantasy X-2, and Devil May Cry 3.

The Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time for Nintendo 64. The graphics were very good, the story line was good, and all the side quests were a lot of fun. The game was addictive, and sometimes I still play the game from start to finish!

Halo 2 for the Xbox, hands down, the online mode is the best i've ever seen. Also there is World of warcraft which isn't a first person \shooter, but it is on the PC and onlineand can be pretty addicting.
