Arc sine undoes sine, arc cosine undoes cosine, and arc tangent undoes tangent to return an angle.

SOH CAH TOA...

sin(angle)= opposite/hypotinuse
cos(angle)= adjacent/hypotinuse
tan(angle)= opposite/adjacent

therefore...

angle= Sin(opposite/hypotinuse)
angle= Cos(adjacent/hypotinuse)
angle= Tan(opposite/adjacent)

capital letter means "arc" or inverse
