i have nero six but it wont copy it to dvd and windows doesnt seem to want to do it

Common household DVD players do NOT play AVI files.

You need a tool to 'encode' the video into a DVD-compatible version. I recommend Ahead Nero Express but you can also do it for free using Windows Video Maker which is built-in Windows XP.

You need Nero vision to copy avi files to DVD.

dvd architect and I use that program to make menus and it seems to work fine with all of my dvd players.
