None of the above will be guaranteed to work. This will.....Go to the local farm supply or "Do-It-Yourself" Pest Control Store. There you will find "Red Fox Urine". They will also sell small plastic containers with cotton balls inside. Buy both. Open up your attic,,,..Soak the cotton with the urine, screw the lid back on and throw about 5 or 6 of them out into your attic. I guarantee they will leave and not come back. GUARANTEED!!!!

had this exact same problem and as you know it's extremely irritating. I heard Mothballs stuffed inside stockings and strategically put in the attic.... didn't work and it smelled horribly.
I borrowed a trap from the City, who in many places let's you borrow one for free.... didn't catch anything but moth balls.
I thought about getting a cat or even a dog to chase the f'ers out. also thought of getting a snake but figured that would probably cause bigger problem.
articles showed they're active early a.m. and early p.m. I suggest you study them at those times and see where they're getting in, plug those holes. That's how I did it.
No easy way.

They need to go out to eat and get water. During the day put tin over the access holes. I know you can keep them out of your garden by getting an outdoor cat. Put the cat in the attic during the day, to drive them out. Someone dropped one cat off here so I fed it. It was a nice looking long haired black cat. Anyway now I have 9 cats, so I will give you some. I knnow in some cities it is against the law to feed them, but I couldn't see it starve either. they are all outdoor cats. I no longer have birds in my garage and shop.

Need to find out where their coming in and board it up. Also, set a trap with food inside to get rid of the ones already inside. Good luck!

Don't forget that if you trap a squirrel, it is illegal to release it back outside anywhere, as squirrels are vermin. Therefore trapped squirrels must be killed.

first find out where they have come in, shoo the pesky squirrels out or set the cat on them then block up their entrance.
