These days a tubaligation is relatively simple operation, you will have a small cut just above you pubic hair, and another below your belly button, a total of 3-4 stitches in all, operation is called a laporscopy/hystoroscopy.
Expect to be in hospital for a day and maybe a night.

Scary - No. Uncomfortable - Somewhat. I had my tubes tied 2 months after my son was born. It is easier to have done right after delivery because your stomach is distended. To have it done they only make 2 very small incisions in the bikini area. The uncomfortable part is that they have to pump some gas into your abdomen to they can see the tubes. You will be a little gassy for a couple of days. Other than that, it was a cinch!

I had my tubes tied after the birth of my daughter not scary at all

i had my tubes tied about a year ago and no it is not scary. this was my first surgery other than a c- section. it's over with before you know it and then its time to go home. if you need any more info feel free to contact me
