I need to know if a goldfish is a consumer or demcomposer.

As a living creature, a goldfish is a consumer. It will die if it does not eat.

It also emits waste, which decomposes, but I don't understand that part of your question.

decomposers are usually bacteria and fungi that break down the bodies of living things after they die
