if your period is due on the 3rd you would be able to take a home pregnancy test by now... and you would not be 2- 3 weeks along you would be 4 weeks. I have had a lot of friends feel as if they had a cold or a fever and in all realitly it was just their bodies way of telling them that they were pregnant. Go get a HPT and check, most can tell you 5 days before your missed period if you are pregnant or not. most come with 2 test so you can test again if it comes up neg. today and then you can test again the day afet u miss u period.

No to both questions. Even those that don't even try to get PG and are, and drink alcohol and the such, do not cause harm to the baby, that early on.
Of course the best case scenario is to never drink or smoke or take any kind of drug, but that isn't always possible. So rest assured that if you are PG, the baby is fine.
In the mean time, contact your doctor, tell him/her that your are TTC, you are feeling horrible and wonder what you can take to relieve the symptoms.
Good luck!

The cold doesn't mean nothing just get some rest and try to get better. When people want to have kids as bad as you they start to act like being pregnant is a sickness and dramatize everything.Calm down!!! I can tell your the type who is going to act like "oh I'm pregnant I cant do this". "Oh that cant be good for the baby" Blah Blah Blah just take a prenatal and sit down somewhere!!! What does you coughing have to do with a baby who is snug tight inside of your uterus. Get a grip!!!!!!

no cold can cause a miscarriage in normal circumstances but since you're playing the waiting game try not to take any acetomenaphine(i think...somebody else help me out). Sudafed was the only thing a pharmacist recommended when I i was pregnant.

Just take pregnancy safe meds and you'll be fine. The only thing I would worry about would be a very high fever. Other than that colds don't hurt pregnancies.

When I was pregnant flu like symptoms were my first symptoms. It was mid august and I was driving around with the heat on. A mild cold won't harm your baby just don't take any medications. Good Luck!!!

just watch what you take for the cold....the cold in and of itself shouldnt have any effect on the baby...just take regular strenth tylenol if necessary....I usually find myself with some sort of cold or something when I get pregnant...

Just simply go to your doctor! Explain that you are trying and that you want to know if you are pregnant. Get a blood test and from there on you will know...
