Vaginitis is an infection and can be treated with over the counter medication. The symptoms vary and can include itching, burning and an unusual discharge. You can have all or just some of these symptoms. It is very uncomfortable.
When you go to the chemist make sure you read the instructions properly and that they are for the symptoms that you have. Ask the pharmacist if you are unsure and don't be embarrassed about it as it is a normal infection which most women will get at some point in their lifetime.
If the symptoms persist after using the medication then you should go to the Dr who will treat you with more powerful drugs.

It is basically a yeast infection (candida). When candida infects the vagina, it results in vaginitis characterized by a large amount of white, cheesy discharge and intense itching and burning.
You can go to any local drugstore and buy an over the counter suppositories product for yeast infections. They work very well. I would also buy some acidophilus (that's what is in yogurt) to prevent further outbreaks and some cranberry pills for your urinary tract. Also, drink lots and lots of water! Do not use douches and use only mild soap such as Dove. Perfumed and strong smelling soaps are not good for the vaginal area. Good Luck!

I think you must mean Vaginismus..
Vaginismus is an involuntary spasm of the muscles surrounding the vagina that closes the vagina. This condition causes penetration to be difficult and painful, or even impossible.
The treatment of choice with vaginismus is an extensive therapy program that combines education and counseling with behavioral exercises. Exercises include pelvic floor muscle contraction and relaxation (Kegel exercises) to improve voluntary control.
Vaginal dilation exercises are recommended using plastic dilators. This should be done under the direction of a sex therapist or other health care provider and treatment should involve the partner. This treatment should gradually include more intimate contact, ultimately resulting in intercourse.
Sorry if this isn't what you mean! Good luck!
