is this taking away childrens imaginations since the story is already there for them?

You know what? I never thought of that, but you have a point. They even have dolls that "make stinkys".

I also think commercials are taking advantage of children believing everything they hear. Have you seen those sketchers commercials? They just shoe the shoe with hypnotic music saying "sketchers are AWSOME, get SKETCHERS!". I dont think that should even be legal!

Only the video games. Games like Grand Theft Auto are too realistic and may lead to violence.

Other toys, such as the new Elmo, are just frightening.

yess!! today i was watching TV with my little brother and my dog, and they had this commercial about this doll who leaves "oopsies" in the diaper after you "feed" it..are you kidding me.. and these things cry and need to be burped... i dont understand the full purpose to all these toys... I dont think its really taking away imaginations, but it is not helping them think for their own too much... I sit with my little brothers and sister and i read with them. to them...i love harry potter (lol) and thats all full of crazy things to keep them going..

they arent nearly as realistic as they used to be when i was kid..

we had real bb guns, pea shooters, slingshots, and lawn darts.. what do they have now?? talking elmo, and transformers.. which of these is more realistic??

If you consider the airsoft guns they make in japan .definetly !
