one time i did an experiment where i wanted to see if different types of music helped kids do math better. So i played like classical, rap, country, and then i had a control which was no music. I gave the same class the same test with different music. Everytime they took a test with different music it was the same questions but in a different order. it turned out to be classical. i think. i dunno. it was a long time ago.

A really good topic that is easy to do is something to do with psychology. You'd have to find effects on people with a certain event happening to them. A good example is stress. Find the effects on them after being put through a stressful situation. The thing with psychololgy, though, it that your subject can't know that you are studying them.

one really good question is to try and find a correlation between specific gravity of a solution, and their concentration
make different sugar solutions, devise a specific gravity testing machine, and then test the specific gravities of each, and graph specific gravity vs. concentration, try to find a link
good luck
