Why does Fox News have to keep on reminding us that they are fair and balanced. Shouldn't the viewers decide that, or is it that if you say it enough times, people wil believe it? Or maybe they're just not?

If they truly were fair and balanced they would be considered "liberal." Fox is a propaganda machine for the neocons. Why do you think that Fox is the "only" news channel Cheney watches?

I don't believe they use that terminology anymore since Al Franken took O'Reilly to task for it. But I could be mistaken, I never watch the channel.

The viewers have decided that the fox news network is fair and balanced. After decades of the main stream media which has always leaned to the left idea-logically we now have an alternative and the polls show that Americans would much rather listen to the "Fair and Balanced" network. Look at Air America the radio station which the liberals thought would give conservative radio stations some competition. Hardly anyone listened and they have now gone out of business.

I watch Fox News, I agree with the person who said it is their slogan. I think the reason people think they have a right-wing slant is because for decades in this country conservatives did not have a voice at all. Fox news allows debates from both sides and does not report the news from a lib point of view like all three of the "major" networks do and always have. Read Bernard Goldberg's book "Liberal Bias".

Are you implying that Fox lies through their teeth, basically not reporting news, but making things up?

Give me a break. You must admit though, most people are relatively misinformed (how sad).

The bottom line is that if you have to say, well it just ain't so...I like to think that such things are "self evident truths"....

But neither is Scarborough Country....that guy likes to shut down people with opposing views just as much as Hannity or O'Riley...we've all seen the shout downs...

I believe they are the closest thing to fair and balanced. I admit they slant right, but are MUCH closer to center than most others.

I watch Fox News and they are not fair and balanced. It is exactly the contrary, they are a bunch of propagandists and arrogant jerks, the kings being Bill O'Reilly and his clone Sean Hannity.

As many networks, they take words out of context to support what they want to believe. I don't like the media, personally.
